After two years and three weeks the six piece mosaic is complete and on it’s way to the new Salvation Army Phoenix South Mountain Kroc Center on a truck! The children from Rose Linda school make thier tile hands over a year ago, the little houses made by families in South Mountain last summer, tile made by artist friends and neighbors, every Monday since September……… Every room in my house became part of this project. Read MoreThe new Salvation Army Kroc Community Center Phoenix South Mountain has been under construction for almost two years. The grand opening is May 18, 2012. Yikes! We still have lots of work to do on the mosaic for the new building. I have been working with the children and families to make tiles for a HUGE mosaic of six - two foot by ten foot panels. We started by making the tiles with the children from Rose Linda School in the “Old” Salvation Army South Mountain Community Center.
